New string wound sediment filter cartridge

Syntech Fibres (Pvt) Ltd. of Karachi, Pakistan has developed a new improved PP string wound filter cartridge (Sedifilt®) that has none of the short-comings of existing string wound or melt blown cartridges. The media is based on a new PP yarn that doesn’t have any spin-finishes or chemicals and consist of randomly oriented continuous filaments. This eliminates foaming and migration of fibres while having a better knife-edge sealing, high dirt holding capacity, low pressure drop, and reduced particle unloading under pressure surges.
